Killaloe Coast Guard Unit and the Irish Coast Guard Helicopter from Shannon Rescue 115 was tasked to Clonlara to assist in the search for a missing person. The alarm was raised at 00:06am an extensive search took place but due to darkness was stood down until first light. A female in her early 50's was recovered from the water near Ardnacrusha at mid-day. On scene were Killaloe Coast Guard Unit, Irish Coast Guard Helicopter, Gardai, Limerick Marine Rescue and Killaloe Ballina Search and Recovery.
